Welcome to the
Vineyard.
Just a host for poetry, entries, random works of writing -- either gleaned or of my own.

"Still"
I like to lay down, to seek pleasure in stillness
To be inert, stagnant -- to relinquish wholly
The plights of the corporeal, to be mortal
From cordial-marital to coital-natal
From lax placidity to stark lucidity
We've borne hearts of hate and minds of aridity
With hunger to sate, bellies roar acidity
Arms agape, locked to kill with bare propensity
And once fallen, we sink into the earth once more
Flesh once tender, taken by enzymes, necrosis
Shades of black and brown carry a newfound wellness
To be laying down, seeking pleasure in stillness

Having done well; still
A voice permeates through me
"They are all better"

"Caves"
Dwell within nooks of gneiss and crannied shale hollows
Swelled eyes toward welled lies -- never fail to follow
Shadows 'gainst schist halls, sprawling stalagmite towers
Keep wrists in halt, minds hauling bipartite sours
Neutrals kept in twain; see one for none, none for one
Hearsay leapt unslain, killed facts in a one-and-done
Wayang kulit sustained in an eternal fair
The light; what's left of its truth, wavered and threadbare
Unravel your blindfolds, unseam your sewn eyelids
The sun outside holds a gleam less hewn, less pallid
